Came home to find two copies of this fantastic book at my doorstep!

I am blown away by the quality and beauty of the pieces in this book and so thankful to Manifest Gallery for including my drawing among works with such magnitude.

My grandmother waited a long time to see this book in print. She suffered a stroke earlier in the year and has not been able to communicate with us since. Not being able to hear her voice and seeing her happiness makes the story of my drawing making it to this book a bittersweet one. I’m so thankful for all the events and my teachers’ love and generosity which inspired me to draw, draw, and draw.

August is here and so is some great news in the art front!

I was very excited to have two pieces selected for Stockton Art League’s 58th National Juried Exhibition at the Haggin Museum. I did not expect to receive the news, however, that my piece, “Mother” was chosen as the first prize winner in the pastel category by juror, Dale Laitinen!

To say that I am very honored and excited about the show is a true understatement!

The opening reception is tomorrow, August 7th and below is the information:
